Scale model measurements

Scale models are miniature replicas of real-life objects or structures, and the size of the model is usually expressed as a ratio compared to the size of the real-life object. For example, a 1:48 scale model of an airplane means that the model is 1/48th the size of the actual airplane.

There are many different scales used in model building, and the most common ones are:
