One of the heaviest lifting Western helicopter, the CH-47 Chinook possesses various ways of loading cargo including multiple doors across the fuselage, a wide-loading ramp at the rear, and three external hooks. Introduced to service in 1982 — and the most substantial variant — a CH-47D contains upgraded engines, composite rotor blades, and the adoption of an advanced flight control system. This 1/72 scale, die cast replica of a CH-47D, as it appeared with A Company of the 7th Battalion, 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan, 2003, features authentic markings and paint scheme, movable rotor blades, opening doors, a well-appointed cockpit, and a display stand. 16¼" long.
